Krísuvíkurkirkja (Krísuvík-church) built in 1857 is a typical Icelandic country church from the 18th century. It was discontinued as a parish church in 1929. The Church is now under the protection of the National Museum.
Edit: January 2. 2010 this beautiful church burned to the ground.
